Comment

The volumes of hazardous waste from the offshore industry has increased significantly from 1997 to 2010. This is because the amount of drilling wastes taken to shore has increased as a result of increased use of oil based drilling fluids. The increase of landed drilling waste from 2009 to 2010 is due to a failure to inject cuttings with appendages of drilling fluids in several fields on the Norwegian shelf.
